System Architecture

The system architecture for Web Reporting consists of the following major software components:

• The NSAPI/ISAPI Crystal Web Reports Server Extension (CRWEB.DLL) – for NSAPI/ISAPI compliant Web  servers
• The CGI Crystal Web Reports Server Extension (CRWEB.EXE) – for CGI compliant Web servers
• The Crystal Web Reports Server – which includes the following components:

- Page Server (CRPGSVR.EXE – manages report caching and distribution
- Image Server (CRIMGSVR.EXE) – manages image caching and distribution
- Crystal Report Print Engine (CRPE.DLL) – processes report jobs

• The host web server software (i.e., Microsoft IIS, Netscape Enterprise Server, or Netscape Fast Track Server or Windows based CGI compliant server)
• Crystal Query Server – manages ad-hoc query requests
